Jeannie Kim

COACHE Interim Director and Principal Investigator

Ph.D., New York University

Before joining COACHE, Jeannie served as an education policy analyst at the New York City Independent Budget Office, where she used student, staff, and survey data to evaluate policies and programs in the nation’s largest school district. She also taught graduate courses as a lecturer at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Jeannie earned her Ph.D. in sociology from New York University, where her research focused on racial stratification in education. Previously, she taught middle school mathematics in Brooklyn as a New York City Teaching Fellow. She received her B.A. in history from Brown University and her Ed.M. in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

At COACHE, Jeannie oversees survey administration, reporting, and partner support and serves as the primary contact for data requests, research initiatives, and external partnerships. She is currently serving as COACHE’s Interim Director and Principal Investigator while Dr. Todd Benson is on leave.
