How Partners Use COACHE

Prioritizing Responsibility as a New Provost

Case Study

During her first year as provost at The University of North Texas, Jennifer Cowley made an effort to improve data transparency on campus. Alongside an internal platform to provide data to deans and department heads, she partnered with COACHE to administer the Faculty Job Satisfaction Survey and develop a clear sense of faculty needs. In this partner spotlight, Dr. Cowley shares how she was able to use COACHE data to inform her priorities as incoming Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

COACHE gives you feedback that you can then share with departments and deans. There are policy implications for every question on the survey, which is important because there are other surveys that have ‘interesting’ questions but you can’t do anything with them. With COACHE data, you can initiate change processes.
