September 28, 2022

Patrick FarrellAll of us at COACHE are excited to welcome our visiting practitioner, Patrick Farrell, Ph.D. Patrick’s work focuses on the implementation of change and change leadership in higher education, as well as the support of individuals and teams as they build change capacity. His expertise in these areas will be a valuable addition to COACHE’s efforts.

During his time with COACHE, Patrick aims to deepen important conversations around change and change leadership, including the perspectives of senior campus leaders in regards to what elements are critical to prepare for major institutional changes, how leaders have been able to support substantial change, when and how change efforts have failed, and what might have been missing in these cases.

Patrick joins us as he returns to teaching after serving as Provost at Lehigh University for 11 years.  Prior to Lehigh, Farrell was Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He received his BSME from the University of Michigan, MSME from the University of California at Berkeley, and PhD from the University of Michigan.
