 During 2020, issues related to the hiring, promotion, tenure, and advancement of faculty in higher education have become critical – amplified with increased attention and public discussion of systemic racism, widespread economic hardships, extreme environmental events, and, of course, a world-wide pandemic. Featuring presentations from a set of papers commissioned in the summer, this is the third in a set of four conversations to help leaders of higher education understand changes in response to the events of 2020: The Next Normal for Advancement of Tenure and Non-Tenure Track Faculty.
